Here's an excerpt from her eBook telling you about her experience with making money creating flipflops:
"I made my first pair of flip flops in the spring of 2004, and had no idea where it would lead. From the first time my daughter wore them I realized that everyone loves cute shoes. I made up about 10 pairs, took them to her pre-school, sold everyone of them and walked away with more orders. Not only did I have orders for children’s sizes, almost every teacher ordered a pair. I took orders all summer from referrals and people who would stop my daughter and I while out running errands. I even met with a manufacturer and ran time studies for costing purposes, spoke with an agent at the Atlanta Merchandise Market, and learned much about going into business.
When spring of 2005 came I had several customers ask if they could host a flip flop party – wow – I was so excited. I decided to manufacture the flip flops myself. I quickly got an action plan together for my parties and added some matching accessories to my product showcase, such as hair bows and ribbon belts. That summer friends hosted six parties for me with sales ranging from $250 to $1050 per party."
